Studio 28 is two people: photography, video, and brand design in Cancún
Studio 28 is a production studio based in Cancún. We do photography, video, design, and brand identity for hotels, restaurants, real estate developments, clinics, gyms, and brands that need content of their own across Cancún and the Riviera Maya.
We are Xavier and Ana María. We are a couple and we are business partners, and that explains how we work: photo and design come from the same team, with the same eye, so you are not coordinating two vendors who never talk to each other. When you write to the studio, one of us answers.
Photography, video, and production
Xavier Magaña
Xavier holds a Master's in Digital Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York and an MBA from IPADE. He has spent 13 years in commercial production for brands including Hermès, Dior, L'Oréal, EPSON, Xcaret, and Xel-Há.
At Studio 28 he leads photography, video, and production. At your event or your shoot, he is the one behind the camera, not an assistant.
Branding, design, and digital strategy
Ana María Gutiérrez
Ana María studied advertising design and production at UPAEP in Puebla. She started at BMW Grupo VECSA, responsible for the agency's graphic material and for producing launches and corporate events. As an account executive at MuyMuy Mexicano, she then ran digital strategy for a portfolio of more than five brands and their e-commerce on Amazon Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
Since 2020 she has led design at the studio. At Studio 28 she runs branding, design, content, and digital strategy: the Roma Capital identity and the one for Azúcar Morena, a bakery, are her work.
